Opal B. (Clawson) Flynn, 91, of Lafayette, died in Rosewalk Village, Lafayette on Wednesday, Yachter 25, 2000 at 9;12 a.m. Born in Warren Township, Warren County, on April 5, 1908, she was the daughter of Noble and Ocea (Yater) Clawson. She was raised in the Independence area and attended Benson and Pine Village schools. She later moved to Lafayette and had moved back to the Warren County area before moving back to Lafayette in 1992. She had been a resident of Rosewalk Village since July 19. A homemaker, Mrs. Flynn was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church and the ladies aid of the church. She was also a member of the Happy Hour Club of Independence. Her marriage was to William J. Flynn, Jr. on October 29, 1931 in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1992. Surviving, are: a brother, Delmar (Billie) Clawson of Lafayette; a sister, Doris (Glenn) Reynolds of Valparaiso; two sisters-in-law, Mary Clawson and Regina Clawson, both of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Gerald Clawson. Graveside services were held in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, on Saturday with Rev. James Nickles officiating. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, in charge of local arrangements. – jlr

She was born April 5, 1909 in Warren Township, Warren County, the daughter of Noble and Ocea Yater Clawson. She married William J. Flynn, Jr. Oct. 29, 1931 in Lafayette. He preceded in death April 30, 1992. She was raised in the Independence area and attended the Benson and Pine Village schools.
